How to Clean Your Synthetic Bowling Green

Synthetic Bowling Green installations are growing in popularity.  They decrease the need for the numerous chemicals and water required to maintain a grass green, but they do require regular upkeep.  Bowling Green Supplies can provide advice on your synthetic bowling green maintenance needs, supply and chemicals, and in some areas in Australia provide a maintenance service.  Being a synthetic surface outdoors in the heat, rain and humidity, mould and organic growth are the key issues to watch out for. It is important not to let mould take hold.  However, if you have a current mould issue we can discuss a treatment program with you.  Bird and bat droppings need to be regularly removed.  Likewise you should give your bowling green a good blow or vacuum on a regular basis.  If there are stains from food and drinks these need to be cleaned off.  Don’t hesitate to call us about your specific issue and we will work with you on a remedial approach. Bowling Green Supplies can arrange for a quote if you are considering a synthetic lawn bowls installation.

Cleaning Your Synthetic Green - Chemicals and Maintenance Regimes

• Synthetic lawn bowls bowling greens are becoming extremely popular.  Due to bowling surface being outside, a maintenance regime is required to ensure mould or organic growth does not take hold.
• Bowling Green Supplies can provide you with a treatment program if mould has taken hold.
• Bowling Green Supplies can provide you with the bowling green chemicals and advice on how to best maintain your green.
• A regular synthetic bowling green maintenance program for your bowling green can be provided, and in certain areas conducted on your behalf.
• If deep seated mould or dirt has infiltrated your synthetic bowling green, we can arrange for a hot water extraction cleaning service to ensure your members get the most out of their lawn bowls.

The Port Augusta ETSA Bowling club synthetic green has been taken over by mould in areas where water lies on the surface. We have treated with kendocide over the last 5 years, with no improvement. The green has been down for 11 years and due to lack of finances will not be replaced for approx. 2 years. What do you suggest in the mean-time. Bill Bell
